Alumni Profile

Meet Gene Chapman '61
Current town: Georgetown, Texas
Education: B.A. Economics
About me: I was raised on a farm near Geneseo, Illinois. After graduation from Central in 1961, I returned to Geneseo and married my high school sweetheart. Mary has provided unquestionable support for the last 57 years. As a result of the Viet Nam conflict, we elected to join the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of Officer Candidate School in New Port Rhode Island, our 23-year Navy career began.

Central Celebration

Brett Roelofs '92 spent a decade pouring his heart and soul into the story, music and lyrics for the musical, Birthday Boy, now showing at the Teatro LATEA Theater in the lower east side of New York City. One evening in July, a handful of Central College alums enjoyed the performance and later celebrated Brett's achievement with him over dinner. A Central Legacy
We are thrilled to count Harvey John Landon among our growing legacy family. Harvey is the son of Jeremiah and Reba Jongeling Landon '14 of Fort Madison, Iowa.
Children of our alumni, whom we refer to as legacy children, receive gifts from Central College every five years during the month of their birthday–beginning at birth through high school.
If your child is not benefiting, register them with us today by sending an email request to alumni@central.edu
We'd love to share their photo here!
