As the summer begins and camp starts, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've embarked upon together at Hanging Rock. The work we do is not just about providing a space for recreation; it's about creating a space for God to work in the lives everyone who comes to camp.

Your time and talents are invaluable to us. Volunteering at camp, whether during the off-season for maintenance or during camp sessions as faculty, Kitchen, or maintenance helps us deliver enriching experiences to our campers.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, we are filled with optimism and excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our vision includes improving facilitates, improving the parking and expanding the drive to have both an entrance and exit onto 263. developing new programs and continuing to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all campers. Adding handicapped accessible bathrooms to all 8 dorms and a new cabin that will be 100% handicapped accessible as well. 

The work we do at Hanging Rock is transformative, not only for the campers but for the entire community. The support we receive is the backbone of our operation, allowing us to create a space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. As you may know, our Dining Hall Addition is officially OPEN! We have been able to serve many people in this new building already since it opened up on May 3rd. We are still looking to pay off the rest of the Dining Hall Addition. We have about $74,291 left to pay on it. If you are wanting to help Hanging Rock finish this project financially, click the button below to donate today. We are thankful for all of the support that we have received for this special addition to our property.

Our Tack Barn building is now finished! We hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony during our Celebrate Good Times event for the Terry Evans Memorial Building. We have been so impressed with the finished building, and we know it will be a great resource for our horse campers. As we transition into this summer season, we are looking forward to using it for Horse Camp.

We want to thank all of our supporting churches that helped with food booths, games, bringing water and pop. We had around 2,000 in attendance with raising over $10,000 that will be split between scholarships and the new dining hall addition.  What a great way to start our summer season.  Thank You. 

Here are some pictures of the handicapped bathrooms at the Retreat Center. They are making great progress and are close to finish these soon. We are estimating for the Retreat Center handicapped bathrooms to be finished in the next couple of weeks. The next step will be to work on the handicapped bathrooms at the Bunkhouse. We are excited to see the finish product. We are grateful for the Wheeler Foundation and are excited to see these put to good use!
