Canvas Release & Deploy Notes
|
-
The YouTube Content overlay feature option is enabled; an overlay message displays in Canvas for YouTube videos.
|
-
In Gradebook Settings, a View Hidden Grades indicator option is available. When enabled, instructors see an icon marking any grades that have not yet been posted to students.
- Instructors can manage the visibility of grades and feedback for individual assignments. By default, scores and comments are released together, but instructors can schedule them to release separately.
|
- Checkboxes are added to sections, allowing instructors to filter submissions by multiple sections at once.
-
When the feature option “the Performance and Usability Upgrades for SpeedGrader” is enabled at course settings, in SpeedGrader, a filter is added to the Comment Library. Instructors can filter by All Comments, Course Comments, or Assignment Comments.
|
-
When the feature option “Enhanced Rubrics "is enabled at course settings, in both the rubric builder and rubric assessment views, instructors can select an outcome pill to open its details in an overlay.
- When creating or editing assignments, instructors are alerted if the total rubric points do not match the assignment points.
|
- New Quizzes supports Survey-type quizzes, allowing instructors to collect anonymous or non-anonymous feedback, with graded or ungraded options. Instructors can view survey data in the Reports tab.
- When the feature option “IgniteAI Question Authoring for Quizzes” is enabled at course settings, instructors can use this feature to create questions based on course content with New Quizzes.
