The entry period for G&G’s Made in the South Awards, in partnership with Explore Charleston, begins today. Winners and runners-up in each of the awards’ six categories will be featured in the pages of the December 2024/January 2025 issue, and the overall winner will receive $15,000.
For fifteen years now, the Made in the South Awards have celebrated the region’s most talented artisans, makers, small-business owners, and entrepreneurs. Through the six categories—Drink, Crafts, Home, Outdoors, Food, and Style—we’ve been honored to spotlight small-batch bourbons, custom paper goods, sculptural tables, hand-built boats, fiery hot sauces, and sophisticated sneakers, among other standout items that speak to the ingenuity of Southern craftsmanship.
Plus, our special Sustainability Award celebrates one Southern maker who has committed to conservation, whether by incorporating eco-friendly practices into their business model or partnering with like-minded nonprofits to give back.
So if your Southern-made product—be it an inventive gin, a hammered bracelet, a chef’s knife, or a smoky sausage—falls into one of our categories, enter now.
Entries are due by Monday, June 17, but we’re offering a discounted entry fee if you apply by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, April 30.
