SVdP Student Fundraiser 2024

The St. Vincent de Paul School fundraiser started last Friday. Our goal is to raise $20,000.00 for outdoor seating near the playground. Currently, 33% of students have registered, and many are already selling and earning lots of great prizes! We encourage you to help your child register and share. Remember, you don't need to sell to participate and earn prizes!

3. Student Goal: 5 Online Supporters. (Students who register and share with 5 people automatically get the LED Fidget Pen—be sure to have your student take the coupon from under the flap of the seller packet and turn it in to their teacher!) 

 

AFTER YOU REGISTER, you can then go to the Parent Dashboard to add your students to your account. To find our school in the "School or Group" box, type "Vincent" and click on "St Vincent De Paul School - Omaha 68164-5425" when it pops up. 

 

Extra Incentives: 

*Students who get 5 separate people to buy an item, they will earn the "Golden Dragon U-Crew" figurine! (delivered with end-of-fundraiser prizes)*

*Students who make at least ONE sale will earn a DDD after the fundraiser concludes! (date of DDD is TBA)*

On behalf of the staff at St. Vincent de Paul School, thank you for doing your part to make our fundraiser a success!

The SVdP Book Fair will be open November 4, 6, 7 and 8. Proceeds from the Book Fair fund our library for the year. We will also be donating books to the St. Augustine Mission School in Winnebago, Nebraska. Thanks to everyone who supports our Book Fair! Volunteers are still needed to staff the Book Fair.

If you would like to volunteer at the same time your child attends the fair, classroom visit times are list below:

Grandparents’ and Special Friend Day is right around the corner! On Friday, November 8th, we will be hosting the 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students and their Grandparents or Special Guests. Each child will be allowed to bring up to two guests. It will begin with Mass at 8:45 A.M., followed by Bingo and refreshments in Kampschneider Hall and Hanneman Hall.

After School Care Employment Opportunity: The hours for this part-time position would be Monday through Friday from 2:45 P.M.-6 P.M. during the school year August-May. The pay is $13.50 per hour. Email Diane Warneke at warneked@svdpomaha.org to apply for this position.

Have some extra treats leftover from Halloween and you need a place to get rid of them? You can look no further because our Student Ambassadors will be collecting candy donations to take to Carole’s House of Hope for the third consecutive year. Carole’s House of Hope is a shelter designated for women and their children to escape abusive relationships. Last year we delivered an estimated 200 lbs of candy to them so, please feel free to send your child with all of the candy that you want out of the house to school and dropped off in their classrooms. The Student Ambassadors will be collecting the candy from November 1st until November 8th, and the candy will be dropped off shortly after the deadline. Thank you again helping these women and children out so that they can enjoy the holiday as well.  

October is Respect Life Month and to support this annual observance, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop's (USCCB) calls on Catholics to renew their commitment to the legal protection of human life, to support policies and service ministries that assist mothers, and to extend compassion to those suffering from participation in abortion.
