In the presence of UW-Whitewater faculty, staff, students, alumni and distinguished guests, Corey A. King was inaugurated as the 18th chancellor of the university on Friday, Feb. 23, at Young Auditorium.

Kudos to SangHee Park, associate professor of communication, who earned the Communication Studies Article of the Year Award from the Central States Communication Association (CSCA) for the article “The Health Equity Discourse of Immigrant Public Health Leaders: A Critical Application of the IDEA Model,” which she co-authored. Sheffield professor of history at Pomona College, will address the many missed opportunities to end the conflict with Japan and the military extremists’ final failed attempts to keep the surrender from taking place in August of 1945. All are welcome! Free spaghetti meals are offered 5-6 p.m., every Monday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Whitewater. You may pick up the meal at the 133 S. Franklin Street entrance. If you need more than one meal to get you through the week, you are welcome to more meals.

Community Events

 

The Community Space, located at 834 E. Milwaukee Street in Whitewater, Wisconsin, provides food, clothing, furniture and more to people in a dignified, respectful and joyful manner. All are welcome. A Little Free Pantry is available 24/7. 262-379-0187.
