Online Courses to Complete Before You Arrive
There are many things to do before you arrive on campus, and we hope you find our New Student Checklist on your MyNova portal helpful. The next tasks on your checklist include the completion of a few online courses. Please review the following information about accessing and completing these various courses.
🔹AlcoholEDU for College and RespectEDU for College (Due Wednesday, Aug. 19)
All incoming new students are required to complete AlcoholEDU and RespectEDU and are encouraged to complete Fostering Community and Mental Well-Being for Students. The two required courses must be completed prior to your arrival on campus for New Student Orientation. Instructions for these courses were emailed to your Villanova email address on Monday, July 13. Please allow for 3-4 hours to complete. To learn more about these courses, visit our website.
🔹Academic Integrity Training and Pledge (Due Wednesday, Aug. 19)
All incoming Villanova students are required to complete Academic Integrity Training and take the Academic Integrity Pledge by Wednesday, Aug. 19. The links to complete these steps are posted in your New Student Checklist on MyNova. Please allow for approximately 1 hour to complete. College of Arts and Sciences: Advising Information
If you are a student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), you will have received emails regarding a Course Placement Questionnaire as well as a CLAS Transfer Onboarding module in Brightspace through your Villanova email address. The Course Placement Questionnaire is a survey for your course preferences, which is required so that your schedule can be created. After that, transfer students must complete the CLAS Transfer Onboarding module in Brightspace, which includes four informational videos with a required quiz after each one. CLAS transfer students must watch these videos and complete the respective quizzes with a grade of 80% or better to proceed to the next section in the module. Once successfully completed, students will have access to register for a required group Zoom meeting in Brightspace that is necessary for all CLAS transfers over the summer months.
