Dear Eagle Nation:
Here on campus, our students and faculty are preparing for final exams, with reading day scheduled for today. While there is still work to be done to get to the finish line for the semester, and the year, I want to take time to express my gratitude for the Coppin campus community and what we have accomplished together this semster, and throughout 2022.
President Jenkins during Talon Talk, December 6.
Last week, I had the opportunity to answer questions from students during the December edition of Talon Talk, moderated by Miss Coppin, Keylin Perez ('23).
It was a pleasure to have a discussion over milk and cookies, about the topics that are important to our students from establishing new traditions at our beloved university, to library hours, and mental health. It was a great conversation. I enjoy having the opportunity to connect with our dynamic students and ensure that every Eagle feels heard and part of our community, and you can expect more Talon Talks in the new year.

I had the pleasure of hosting members of the the Baltimore Delegation on campus, and having the chance to share with them some of the great things happening at Coppin that show we are a true force and asset for the city of Baltimore, and our state. Nearly 50 new members of the General Assembly will visit campus on Wednesday and we look forward to sharing with them the many accomplishments we have achieved this past year. Our sincere hope is that they will come away from their experience here with a new understanding of Coppin State University, and as supporters of the university as they enter the legislative session in January.

As we prepare for 2023, we look forward to showing the world what Eagle Nation is all about, with fun events planned for Homcoming 2023, February  12-19, and the inaugural
Coppin State University Gala, on May 5, 2023 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
I encourage every member of Eagle Nation - our students, alumni, as well as our corporate and community partners - to join us in going All In for Coppin by supporting these events, Coppin Athletics, and the great scholarship and experiential learning happening at Coppin.
To our students, I wish you well on your final exams. Let us finish the semester strong, take time to celebrate another successful semester, and enjoy the holiday season with loved ones and friends.
