Grant Opportunity: Jacobs Foundation on How Children Learn |
|
|
The Jacobs Foundation has announced the 2025 Call for Proposals under their Learning Variability Network Exchange (LEVANTE) initiative, offering up to 1 million in research funding to deepen understanding of how individual variability, group heterogeneity, and contextual variability influence children’s learning and development. LEVANTE brings together researchers from around the world and provides them with a framework to enable them to gather information on how children’s learning varies, within and across individuals, groups, and cultural contexts.
Funded projects will collect data from children aged 5-12, using (and potentially supplementing) a common set of measurements including cognitive, emotional, social, and environmental factors that influence and contribute to individual differences in learning. This year’s call invites proposals from research labs at higher education institutions or research institutes with expertise in child and youth development, with a special emphasis on internationalisation and projects in underrepresented countries in the Global South.
Funding is available for small projects (up to $600,000) and large projects (up to $1,000,000), with a minimum duration of four years
Applications are open from 27 June to 19 August, 2025.
