The Sokolov Honors College at Youngstown State University wants to share some information with you about upcoming events, as well as some important honors application deadlines. 

The Sokolov Honors College invites future Penguins to campus to learn about YSU and honors. Please consider sharing this email or the flyer below with your students, which contains information on the Sokolov Honors College Open House on Friday, October 18.

Highly motivated and academically talented students find themselves at home here in honors. Students describe the honors experience as offering opportunities, a community of students who have similar learning values, and a sense of family who support each other as they pursue their academic, career, and personal goals.

Students interested in learning about YSU-BaccMed have the opportunity to learn more at this upcoming event.  Join us Tuesday, November 5 at 6 pm for a virtual Evening with YSU-BaccMed. You will have a chance to hear from faculty, staff, and students as well as get any questions answered about the premiere pre-health experience for future physicians.

The meeting will be held virtually via Webex. Students can register to participate here. 

The application deadline for the YSU BaccMed program is November 15, 2024.  Interested students can view more about the program and how to apply for BaccMed here.

The Honors College application deadline is February 1, 2025.  Student should apply by this date to have priority scholarship consideration. Students can learn more about the Sokolov Honors College here and apply here.
