Dear Jonathan,
We are Josh Tenorio and Aidan Gomez, Co-Alumni Chairs of the Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Southwestern University. We are looking forward to hosting you for our alumni weekend on April 1st. Activities have been planned throughout the weekend that will allow Greek alumni from several decades to engage with our current chapter members. Don’t miss out on all of the fun, including our annual softball game! We hope you plan to attend.
If you hadn’t heard, a few of our brothers were recently recognized by the national fraternity. Caden Cox '22 received the Dr. John W. Ryan Leadership Circle Leadership Award. This prestigious award identifies the top 25 brothers in all of Kappa Sigma. Our Grand Master, Jeremy Harper ‘24, was also recognized and received the Henry M. Rockwell Scholarship. On campus, Kappa Sigma boasted the highest average GPA of all the fraternities, won the Spirit Award at the Homecoming tailgate and took home the top prize at SING! At the beginning of the semester, eleven new pledges signed their bids to make up our newest pledge class. We are very proud of this incoming group and know they are going to do great things. Most importantly, Kappa Sigma hosted the 51st annual Valloween this past weekend.
As we celebrate our chapter, we invite you to make a tax deductible gift online to the Kappa Sigma Iota Chapter Endowed Scholarship or to the Lori and Erik Harpst Endowed Scholarship Fund. A donation to these funds provides tuition assistance (Iota Chapter Scholarship) or housing aid (Harpst Scholarship) for our active brothers. This helps to defray the cost of education and allows the recipients to focus on their academic goals. Your decision to give to either scholarship strengthens both our bonds as brothers as well as the special ties we have to Southwestern.
To make a gift online, please visit www.southwestern.edu/makeagift and designate “Iota Chapter Endowed Scholarship” or “Harpst Scholarship”. You can also make a gift in honor of your brothers and write a message that will be handwritten by a Southwestern student.
We look forward to seeing you at alumni weekend!
AEKDB,
Josh & Aidan
