All UW-Whitewater students are eligible to find the medallion hidden on university property and claim a $250 prize! The hunt begins today at 10 a.m. and continues through Friday, April 4, or until the medallion is found.

Students qualify for international music competition

UW-Whitewater's Competitive Trumpet Ensemble, which includes six students, was one of just 15 groups selected from around the world to compete as a semifinalist at the International Trumpet Guild Conference on May 27-31, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Two Warhawks selected conference scholar-athletes

Two UW-Whitewater student-athletes were named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes in their respective sports for the winter 2024-25 season.

Ten more UW-Whitewater student-athletes became All-Americans earlier this month after their performances at NCAA Championship events.

Kudos to Jodi Simek, international education manager, and Rebecca Pearce, international admissions counselor, who presented “The growing complexity of fraud – what is our responsibility” on March 25 at the 2025 International Office Conference. They focused on institutional responsibilities in fraud detection, setting institutional standards, and managing fraud when it occurs. IO Conference »

Kudos to Hairi, assistant professor of computer science, whose paper, “On the Hardness of Decentralized Multi-Agent Policy Evaluation under Byzantine Attacks,” was presented at WiOpt 2024 at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea, in October. WiOpt is a leading conference in network optimization. The UW-Whitewater baseball team, ranked No. 1 in the Division III national preseason poll, was featured in an article that appeared in the Pensacola News Journal in Pensacola, Florida, prior to playing in the Blue Wahoos Challenge earlier this month.
