Wrapping Up 2022 In Style!

We spent the last rehearsal week before Winter Break jamming on our tunes, hanging with our bandmates, enjoying some food, and preparing for our musical domination in 2023! Thanks to all of our amazing Students, Parents, Teachers, and Music Directors for a Rockin' 2022. We cannot wait to see what you will accomplish in the New Year!

House Band Show at The PARC Tysons Winter Market!

It was a cold and blustery December night, but the snow, uh we mean show, must go on! The Vienna House Band heated up the stage with some Classic Rock and Holiday tunes at this fun, winter wonderland performance! By the way... what do they call, the coldest music key of all? Brrrr Flat, of course!

Spring 2023 Performance Season Announcement Will Be on January 9th!

Our Fall Season Shows are rounding the corner and performances for those will be announced soon. The new themes for our next season will be announced on January 9th, with sign-ups beginning February 6th. Stay Tuned to discover your next band!

What is your favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna?

My favorite thing about the School of Rock is learning how to play drums and play with other people.

What is one of your favorite things you’ve learned from your time here so far?

My favorite thing I have learned at School of Rock is how to play songs like Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix or Reelin' In The Years by Steely Dan..

What advice would you give to all the new SOR student musicians?

My advice to new SOR students is that people rely on you to learn your stuff! So make sure you are putting enough time aside to get your songs done!

Inclement Weather Close/Open Procedures

It's almost that time of year again, so here's a reminder about our Inclement Weather Policy. We do not follow the county school closures about whether we will hold in person lessons or groups. Frequently the county makes their decisions in the morning based on whether or not the buses can maneuver through the neighborhoods. We make our decision to open/hold in person lessons or groups based on whether or not our staff can safely come to work. Once we have that, we will announce our "Open In Person" or "We're Going Online" status on inclement weather days by 1PM by sending you an email (Pike 13) and posting on our main SOR Vienna Facebook page and in our BAND groups. So be sure to check your inbox and social media prior to heading out. And stay warm out there!
