When You Care, They Notice |
In Spring 2024, a survey was conducted through the UAH Undergraduate Chatbot asking students if they would recommend UAH to someone else. Of the 700 students who responded, 65% said they would recommend UAH and gave detailed comments. The second most cited reason students gave was that UAH faculty “care about your success in class” and are “passionate about what they are teaching”.

Immediate classroom support is available for issues (see examples below) that prevent you from teaching from 7:30 am–6:30 pm Monday through Thursday (7:30 am–4:00 pm on Friday) if classes are in session. Please call the team at 256-824-7700 for assistance.
Examples of issues we can help fix:
- Projector/display malfunction
- Classroom audio not working correctly (Speakers/Microphones)
- Keyboard, mouse, pen not working
- Camera not working
- Panopto recording won’t start
- Display screens going black/not working

Using Respondus? Important Info! |
Please note that students need to follow different instructions when taking a Respondus-proctored quiz in Canvas, depending on whether it's a New or Classic quiz. Click here to access directions that can be used in your quiz (use the same link for them to use for each quiz) to inform students.

CAUTION: New Quizzes & Analytics |
Canvas New Quizzes—while available and functional as Classic quizzes, may not be the best assessment type for high stakes assignments that require advanced reporting options. If you need to download student quiz responses for grading or reporting purposes, please use Classic Quizzes. New Quizzes does not allow faculty to download quiz submissions.
Also, please note that because Outcomes deployed via Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes slightly differently, your Outcomes may not be transferred if you migrate a Classic Quiz to the New Quiz format. If you choose to migrate a Classic Quiz to the New Quiz format, you may need to reconnect your Outcomes to ensure outcome data is collected correctly.
