This past weekend St. Vincent de Paul students participated in the State Science Olympiad in Lincoln. Forty-nine teams and over 750 students from across the state of Nebraska competed in a variety of science and technology events. St. Vincent de Paul had nine students who worked for months preparing for events and competed. Here are the results:

Boomilever – Charlie Harris and Jude Zimmerman – 7th place
Code Busters – Charlie Harris, Jude Zimmerman, and Evan Glow – 7th place
Crime Busters – Brendan Ericksen and Justin Mwangi – 12th place
Disease Detectives – Jude Zimmerman – 3rd place
Experimental Design – Charlie Harris and Jude Zimmerman – 5th place
Heredity – Justin Mwangi – 8th place
Meteorology – Nolan Trojan – 3rd place
Mission Possible – Natalie Hoefer, Maila Tran, and Sky Kroenke – 4th place
Scrambler – Phoebe Schroen – 11th place
Solar System – Nolan Trojan and Evan Glow – 13th place
