In just a few short weeks, school will be out for the summer. This means it's time for celebrating the end of the school year and planning for the next. Below you will find information on Preschool and After School for the 2026-27 school year, School's Out Camp for June 11 & 12, and remaining opportunities for Summer Camps.

School ends for OCS students on June 10!! And, we've got day camp options for June 11 and 12.
|
School's Out Fun Day Camp provides a safe, nurturing, and fun place for children to go when school is out. Children spend their day playing games in our gymnasium and outdoor areas, and participating in enrichment activities in the areas of science, arts, cooking, and more. Daily schedule includes a blend of staff-led organized activities and self-directed child-led play, keeping each day of camp fun and different. The program encourages socialization and trying new things.

Orange County Recreation school year childcare programs are now accepting enrollment for the 2026-27 school year.
|
Secure enrollment with a $25 deposit through June 30. Beginning July 1, payment due in full at the time of registration. Payment in full for first month's tuition accepted beginning July 1 and due by August 15.

Preschool Academy is a half-day program for children ages 3-5-years-old, providing both academic enrichment and socialization opportunities.
Based on the weekly theme, students will partake in a wide variety of age-appropriate activities to learn numbers, letters, colors, rhythm, and science.
Classroom instruction balances both child-directed, play-based learning and teacher-led, small-group activity.
Preschool Academy operates from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on OCS traditional calendar school days, September through May. Part-time (Tu/Th or M/W/F) or full-time enrollment available.

| After School serves Orange County traditional calendar school students at select schools with transportation daily from school to the Central Recreation Center.
Daily activities include physical activity; homework time and assistance if needed; enrichment activities in science, arts, and more; and freely chosen play.
Program operates from school dismissal to 5:30 p.m.
Limited spaces for 2026-27 school year available for students at Central, Grady Brown, New Hope, Pathways, and River Park Elementary Schools. Registration open now and available first-come, first-served.

Orange County Recreation offers a wide variety of summer camp enrichment programs including sports, arts, sciences, cooking, and field trips for campers ages 3- to 13-years-old. Camp registration is well underway, but spaces are still available in select camps. In-Person Registration: Visit the Bonnie B. Davis Environment and Agricultural Center, Suite 140, 1020 US 70 West, Hillsborough during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-11:45am and 1:15pm-4:30pm. Note that Administrative offices are closed on County Holidays.
Online Registration: Registration is accepted online at www.orangecountync.gov/activityregistration. If you or your family has participated with us before and you do not know your account information, call 919.245.2660 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30am-11:45am and 1:15pm-4:30pm) for further assistance.
