Hello Pratt Community,
It is so exciting to say that April has arrived, which means that the Community Connections Newsletter has been coming into your inbox for two entire years now. There are some exciting items coming up that you can engage with, ranging from a Pratt Night at the Co-Lab on April 5 to an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Startup Showcase on April 13. Although the end of the semester is approaching, and for some of you that might include graduation, there are multiple ways to stay engaged with several of the events going on within Pratt.
Speaking of engagement, I would appreciate it if you would consider engaging with our DEIC efforts through an invitation to participate in our 2023 Pratt Culture Survey that you will be receiving soon via email. This is an opportunity for you to provide anonymous feedback regarding our ongoing DEIC efforts, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best, Karis

Maclin Endowment Fund Can Cover Unexpected Educational Costs |
The vision of the Maclin Fund is that no eligible Pratt School of Engineering undergraduate should miss out on educational growth because of costs not covered by financial aid. Costs such as attending a conference, flying to an interview, taking a workshop or repairing a computer—to name only a few. The fund was created through the generosity of Valecia Maclin E’92.

The WIN Empowerment Fund was created through the generosity of the Pratt School of Engineering group within the Duke Women's Impact Network (WIN), whose mission is to encourage leadership and philanthropy among women and the friends of WIN. The WIN Empowerment Fund makes direct and positive impacts on the lives of financial-aid-receiving students by helping meet those expenses—such as graduate exam and application fees or professional attire.
