NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country rap newcomer Orion Nyles (3rd King Entertainment) announces the remixed release of his original song, "Long Way From Home (8/26),” the second unique artistic pairing between Nyles and powerhouse vocalist Brandon Chase (a Top 20 contestant on season five of the hit NBC series The Voice). Co-written by Nyles and Chase and produced by Justin Morgan, the original tune is AVAILABLE NOW on all streaming platforms.
Built around a mellow, twangy guitar progression, “Long Way From Home (8/26)” pairs country-rooted instrumentation with modern hip-hop percussion and bass. The track offers a more understated take on Nyles’ signature country rap sound, driven by an easygoing rhythm that positions his rapid-fire delivery as a standout. Chase’s gritty, melodic vocals provide a complementary contrast to Nyles’ quick-paced verses, creating a seamless alliance of country and rap while creating a distinct sonic identity.
The tune follows the journey of leaving behind a familiar hometown in pursuit of something beyond the county line. Reflective lyrics capture complicated emotions born by walking away from the people, places and experiences that shaped you. The genre-blending release balances catchy production with relatable storytelling. Nyles approaches the story from the perspective of stepping into the unknown to chase a bigger dream, while Chase brings a melodic sense of reflection and longing to the narrative. Together, the performances capture the push and pull between moving forward and pining for a life left behind.
"The storyline is about personal growth, and stepping away from all you know and all of the expectations of 'home'," Nyles says. "...but relying on your roots to ground yourself… find yourself… and walk in the shoes you were meant to walk in."
The track’s echoing guitar and restrained production establish a relaxed yet slightly haunting atmosphere, complementing the song’s themes of self-discovery, change and a deep longing. As Nyles’ verses gradually build, the contrast between his rhythmic delivery and Chase’s harmonized vocals keeps the arrangement engaging as the connection to the reflective message.
The new release continues Nyles’ momentum as an emerging voice in the country rap format. He previously teamed with Chase on “Everywhere I Go,” released in August, and will roll out his next single, "Small Town (Comes Back Around)," in October.
