We’ve got one last email before the Festival this SATURDAY, MAY 9th from 2pm-10pm!!
First things first, the Llamapalooza Planning Committee has a message to share about making the festival the best it can be for all of our peers:
The Committee expects all attendees to work with us in upholding our community standards of inclusivity and consent. We want Llamapalooza to be a safe, fun, and welcoming space for everyone. A space where inclusion, compassion, respect, agency, and autonomy are all valued and practiced. And a space where any and all bigoted, disrespectful, and hateful behavior has no place.
To help us accomplish this, please…
Respect others’ autonomy and boundaries before, during, and after the festival!
Welcome all of our peers in music, dancing, and celebration!
Collaborate with your peers and friends to reject any bigoted, hateful, harmful behavior and speech!
If you see something, say something! Look for OCA Staff, Campus Safety, Faculty Volunteers, or Llamapalooza Committee Members if needed. We will all have badges.
On a similar note about respect, please do not throw anything at the national acts while they are doing sound checks. Student DJs will be performing on a separate speaker system this year, but the reality of a festival this jam-packed with entertainment is that there will be some overlap of sound. Please respect our national acts, student bands, student DJs, and everyone who put a lot of effort into making this festival happen.
Thank you all in advance for your role in making Llamapalooza a space for everyone. We are all excited and cannot wait, and we want to make sure that everyone on campus can share that same excitement.
Next, A Message From Campus Safety:
As we have those things that we should do in order to make Llamapalooza inclusive and welcoming, we have a quick message from Campus Safety about what we should not do at the festival.
1. Do not bring any non-medically approved bags, purses, satchels, portmanteaus, clutches, pocketbooks, fanny packs, backpacks, birkins, totes or any other kind of bag you might have into the festival.
2. Do not bring any water bottles, thermoses, cups, goblets, mason jars, champagne flutes, or any other drink containers you may have lying around into the festival because we will have drink stations all day long.
3. Do not bring any alcohol, shooters, vapes, cigarettes, drugs, or smoking devices of any kind into the festival.
We know everyone is going to listen and abide by all of those rules anyway, so we won’t spend too much time reiterating them. Please, though, for your own enjoyment, and for our convenience, leave it all at home.
Next, let’s talk about three important logistical points for Saturday, May 9th:
First, everyone is welcome to bring up to one off-campus guest, just remember to register them. Registration will take place day-of at check in. Bring your guest with you to the festival and our lovely volunteers will help get everyone registered and checked in.
IF YOU PARK YOUR CAR IN THE WEST CAMPUS LOTS, listen up. If you need to use your car any time between 7am-11pm on Saturday May 9th, move your car outside of the barriers. Cascade will be closed on Saturday afternoon, so your car will be trapped!!
Lastly, if you are able to help with moving couches for 25 minutes after the festival, we have a reward for you! You’ll get some free Llama swag, and a guaranteed food ticket, so fill out this form. (We have some extra posters that we want to give away, and we would really appreciate the help!)

Additionally, if you have questions about how the festival was put together, why we got specific food trucks, how we picked the lineup, or any other feedback you might have, please ask anyone on the committee. (We'll all have volunteer badges.) Additionally, the co-chairs will be floating around the festival the entire day, so if you need help, or just want to say hi, please do!
