Dear Tulanians,
On Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20, Tulane University will come together to celebrate the Class of 2023 at Unified Commencement and individual school ceremonies.
The Unified Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Yulman Stadium. Individual school ceremonies are scheduled for both Friday and Saturday on the uptown campus and in other venues across the city. Additionally, various school and organization celebrations will take place during that weekend. Click here for more information on 2023 Commencement.
As we prepare for these events, please consider the following information. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we celebrate with our graduating students and their loved ones.

UPTOWN CAMPUS REMOTE WORK |
|
|
On Friday, May 19, the uptown campus will allow nonessential personnel to work remotely if possible. All other campuses will observe normal operation schedules.
Essential personnel may be excluded from being allowed to work remotely, including engineers managing buildings as well as event, security, emergency, and facilities personnel. You must consult with your supervisor to determine if you are able to work remotely.

In addition to the scheduled closures below, spaces will be blocked intermittently throughout campus to accommodate event preparation. Please pay attention to all signage, barricades, and instructions from parking and security personnel.
Thursday, May 18: 10 p.m. – Saturday, May 20
- Janet Yulman Way will be closed to parking and traffic. Any vehicles parked on Janet Yulman Way after 10 p.m. on Thursday will be towed to 200 Broadway Street, and the owner will be fined.
Friday, May 19: 6 a.m. – Saturday, May 20

Ben Weiner Drive will be reduced to one-way traffic from Claiborne Avenue to Janet Yulman Way. Access will be restricted to attendees arriving by rideshare who requested an accommodation and received a digital Tulane-issued ADA credential.

Parking in the Claiborne Lot will be limited to guests with a state-issued ADA placard/license plate based on availability or those who requested an accommodation and received a digital credential.

Ben Weiner between Willow Street and Janet Yulman Way will remain open to traffic in both directions, but please expect delays as guests and graduates arrive for school ceremonies throughout the day.
