Dear Deans, Directors and Department Heads:
We are forecasted to experience severe thunderstorms today, which always bring the possibility of tornadic activity, beginning around 2 p.m., with the most severe weather clearing our area around 6 p.m. The final clearing of all severe/inclement weather will be between 8 – 9 p.m.
We ask you to be understanding with any staff who need to travel to pick up children from school. Individuals are encouraged to use their best judgment about when they leave work so that they are not traveling through severe weather.
Final exams scheduled for today will still take place. We recommend that students plan ahead and allow extra time to get to their scheduled exams. As always, students and faculty should be mindful of emergency alerts issued by the university.
Please remain weather aware and safe today.
