Pastoral Search: Your Voice Matters

Please plan to join us on August 23 for a Congregational Meeting led by Dr. Bill Wilson of the Center for Healthy Churches, who will guide us in identifying the leadership qualities, preaching style and other crucial characteristics of our next pastor. This meeting is an opportunity not only to share your own perspectives, but also to listen to fellow church members as we prayerfully discern the priorities that will help guide the work of the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC). Your participation is both valuable and essential, and we encourage every member to make attending this meeting a priority.

Journey in Genesis
Join us this summer in Goodpasture Hall as we explore the Old Testament lectionary readings from the book of Genesis. Each week a different pastor will lead a casual conversation about that Sunday’s text as we explore this ancient story and how it still speaks to our lives today.

Summer Sunday School

Intergenerational Sunday School in Blevins Garden
August 9 and 16

Dress comfortably for August Sunday School. We will be outside as we explore a Bible story; snacks and activities will be provided. There will be a service project each week as well.
We’re talking the text!  Each Tuesday, the pastoral staff discusses the sermon text for the upcoming Sunday, and we publish it each Wednesday in our eBlast and our YouTube channel on Wednesdays. We invite you to listen in and hear our conversation about God’s Word.

Second Harvest Food Drive
For the next three Sundays, we will be collecting non-perishable food supplies for Second Harvest and a food drive at Crieve Hall Elementary. This is part of an effort being supported by a Hands-On Mission mini grant. Collection boxes will be at the Mayfair entrance.
