Dear Staff,
As we reflect on all we’re grateful for — we’re especially grateful for your heart for kids. Whether you’re meeting them in the cafeteria, taking them to fall weekend camp, or inviting them to summer camp, thank you for sharing God’s love with kids, all year!
Here’s what you need to know about camp this month …
|
As you’re running with kids at fall and winter weekends, now is a great time to create a plan for inviting students to join your summer camp trip! Who will your team personally invite to join you at camp?
To help you get started, the national WyldLife team has created a proposed communication timeline, which you can customize for your area. See what they recommend.
Also, the Marketing team has a variety of resources as you’re talking with students and parents. There are flyers, videos, social media posts, and templated emails. Looking for something you don't see? Send the Marketing team a message.

How to Get Kids Signed Up for Camp
|
When students say, “I want to go to summer camp!” have them or their parents register using your area’s online camp registration page. Nationally-managed camp registration pages have already been pre-built in Webconnex. All you need to do is customize and publish your page so you can start taking registrations.
Remember — don't copy previous year’s pages or create a new one! You can get help from the experts by filling out this concierge form, and the Connections Team will set your page up for you for free. Or you can follow these instructions in the Learning Guide. Registration pages should be published no later than December 15.

A New Health Form is Coming ...
|
You may have noticed that we have deactivated the online Health and Consent Form in YL Connect. We are finishing final testing and, beginning in early 2026, we’ll release a new Health and Consent form. Some features of the new form will be:
|
-
One form for all camp activities. You’ll be able to designate any “additional activities” that your group will participate in before or after your nationally-managed summer camp trip. These details will be included in each participant’s individualized form, meaning they’ll only need to complete one Health and Consent Form.
-
Registrant IDs/participant codes will be a thing of the past! The new form will automatically pull trip details from your YL Connect camp trip campaign and prompt participants to complete any additional fields required by the camp or for medical information.
-
All your info in one place. A Health Form tab on your YL Connect campaign will give you one place to track camp details, view health form reports, and receive almost instant, real-time updates so you’re prepared and ready to care well for everyone coming to camp.
|
As these new features move into YL Connect, the former 6007 Health and Consent website is no longer available.
Please discontinue use of the 6007 form for all summer 2026 trips.
Stay tuned to Day Zero and the Health, Consent, and Release Form page on Staff Resources for the latest updates.

School-Season Health and Consent Forms
|
If you have upcoming school-season trips (fall/winter weekends, spring break trips, other events):
|
- For trips under 72 hours, or a high-risk event, continue using YL Connect to create your event, health form links, and to track completion of the 1717 form — no change there!
-
For trips over 72 hours at a non-Young Life property, continue to use paper health forms — no change there!
-
For trips over 72 hours at a Young Life camp, reach out to ylcamping@sc.younglife.org for Health and Consent Form options!

Summer Staff: The Experience that Lasts a Lifetime
|
Many of us know the impact of serving at a Young Life camp — it’s an experience that stays with you forever. College students often start locking in their summer plans during the holidays, making now the perfect time to connect with college-aged friends and invite them to apply!
Share your own summer staff story on social media, text the summer staff promo video, or send this direct link to apply.
|
As you are working with students who are looking for alternative camping and discipleship opportunities, Discipleship Focus is offering college students a chance to grow in their faith, experience deep community, and earn an income at the Young Life Summer Work Experience. This program offers nine weeks of authentic community, life-on-life discipleship, employment, and biblical teaching for college-aged young adults. Applications are now open. Read more about this unique opportunity and consider who you might invite. Questions? Email Ray Pettigrew.

Thank you for all you do to help kids encounter Jesus!
