- Shout-out to Blackwell Preschool, the best staff in all of RPS. This staff works tirelessly to support one another in good times and in bad. I appreciate all of your dedication and hard work!
- Shout-out to Ms. James at Oak Grove Bellemeade for all of her assistance and time with the van riders! She calls transportation to clarify routes and times as we continue to get students riding new vans. We appreciate her waiting with students and calling parents to make sure our students make it safely home. When vans/daycare providers call to check attendance, Ms. James calls the classrooms to always provide correct information to keep transportation safe and efficient. Thank you, Ms. James! We appreciate you!
- Shout-out to Technology Services! I can say that I have never had a negative experience when I have called the technology services help line. The technicians have been patient and kind when helping me, while not making me feel that they were frustrated with my questions. Even with all the craziness going on with Google over the last week, they were attentive to my needs when I called. It is nice to know that whenever I have a technology question or need, they are going to address it in a timely and friendly manner.
- Thank you for our tasty and delicious Thanksgiving lunch at Lucille M. Brown Middle School! We appreciate everyone who made this happen.
- Huge shout-out to the teachers at River City Middle School. They are showing up, stepping up ,and brightening up our school everyday.
- A huge shout-out to James Alexander, CSA at Richmond Technical Center. Mr. Alexander goes so far beyond the call to make sure our campus is safe and secure. He has a great rapport with staff and students. Thank you, Mr. Alexander!
- A great big shout-out to the Richmond Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)! This group of volunteers gives of their free time to help support students with disabilities and their families by listening to concerns and working with the School Board to find ways to improve the outcomes for our students. Thank you for your service!
- Big shout-out to Liane Bain, math intervention teacher at Mary Munford! She has been really looking out for one of my struggling students this year, not just with academics, but with her health, safety, and social-emotional well being. I am so grateful to people like Liane!
- Shout-out to Ms. Caples for a fantastic job with her 1st grade class at John B. Cary Elementary! My scholar has blossomed as a reader this year in her class and she has been helpful for providing great recommendations for how we can support this growth at home.Thank you, Ms. Caples!
- Shout-out to Ms. Brown, Ms. Singleton, and the principal, Mr. Mitchum, at the Richmond Technical Center who went out of their way and beyond to address a concern that went on with my son. I really appreciate the concern they had for my son which really meant a lot. Even after it was all done and over, Mr. Mitchum called me after 5 pm to ask me if my son was alright. It really meant a lot to me! Again, I want to thank all of them for being there and just showing genuine concern.
