Deadline to Withdraw from Fall Semester Programs is Friday, May 1

Calls to Action
Get Ready for Ditch the Dumpster

Are you about to move out? You'll want to know about Ditch the Dumpster (DTD)! DTD is CC’s move-out donation program designed to keep donatable items out of the landfill and give them a second life. It’s a simple way to help reduce our waste and keep sustainability efforts going strong as we wrap up the year.

DTD starts on Friday, May 8 at noon. Drop-off sites will be available 24/7 at the following locations:

  • Mathias Lobby
  • Loomis Lounge
  • South Hall Lobby
  • Hybl Community Center

Closing Dates:

  • Mathias, Loomis, and South Hall: Thursday, May 14, end of day.
  • Hybl: Monday, May 18, end of day.

To learn more about when to donate, what to donate, and where to donate, visit the Ditch the Dumpster website.

Internship Adjunct for Continuing Students

Does your summer internship require credit? Would earning .25 units for an experiential opportunity help you catch up on credits? Sign-up for the General Studies(GS): Internship Adjunct. The GS: Internship Adjunct provides students with significant learning experience outside the classroom setting, and represents an educational strategy that links classroom learning with the application of knowledge in an applied work setting. Email Andrea Culp in the Career Center to be added to the Canvas course to learn more about assignments and expectations. You must start the process before your internship begins.

Final Call: Community Engagement Access Fund

Do you need transportation support or a background check for a community engagement activity? Learn more and apply for funding.

First Destination Survey

Seniors—tell us what’s next, even if you’re still figuring it out.

The First Destination Survey takes about 3 minutes and helps future students, academic departments, and the college better understand what paths look like after CC. You don't need to have finalized plans. “Still searching” is a real and important answer. Complete the survey today. If you are unsure about next steps, the Career Center can help you get started. Drop-ins are 1-4 pm, Monday-Thursday, or schedule an appointment via Handshake.

Final Call: Community Engagement Microgrants

Need funding for a community project? The Collaborative for Community Engagement Microgrants for Community Impact provides up to $1000 in funding to support CC students in their community service initiatives with the Colorado Springs and El Paso County communities. Learn more and apply today.

Annual Greenhouse Gas Technical Report

The Emissions Team within the Office of Sustainability is excited to share the latest Greenhouse Gas Technical Report. This comprehensive document tracks our emissions, providing transparency into how we measure and manage our environmental impact. It offers a deep dive into carbon emissions, ranging from direct campus operations to indirect sources like travel. We invite you to review the findings and see how our collective efforts are shaping the College’s environmental footprint.
