The Vignelli Center for Design Studies is pleased to share that we are beginning the search for a new Assistant Archivist, a vital role that supports the stewardship and ongoing accessibility of the Lella and Massimo Vignelli archives.
This five-year funded position works closely with the Center’s Archivist to process archival collections, digitize artifacts, assist researchers, and contribute to exhibitions, class visits, and other forms of public engagement. The role plays an important part in ensuring that the Vignelli legacy remains accessible to students, scholars, and visitors both on campus and around the world.
We are seeking applicants with a master’s degree in library science or an archival field, two years of professional archival experience, a strong understanding of archival standards and digital imaging practices, and an interest in design history. Experience with design archives is preferred.
