Thank you to all volunteers who helped us out at the Fall 2026 Involvement Fair. You and your colleagues talked to hundreds of current UIC students about the wonderful people, programs, and opportunities in LCSL. Another chance to attract students to our LCSL programs: UIC SparkFest is this Saturday, September 19. We’ll welcome thousands of prospective students and their families, and entice them to apply to UIC and to focus on LCSL!
Language Learning Assistants (LLAs) and peer tutors are back on the job and supporting students in the classroom and in tutoring hours. Please advertise the peer tutoring schedule to your 100-level students in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish!
Language events in 308 Grant Hall – open to all students! Let your students know about Conversation Hours where they can practice the language they’re studying, connect with others, and get to know the program and community.
We’re also bringing back special events throughout the semester, including parties, presentations, film screenings, and more. These events are a great way for students to stay engaged, meet new people, and get involved beyond the classroom.
