Hello friends,
Wow, what an immense privilege it is to be alive and breathing fresh air, to watch the sun rise through the moss laden dogwoods, to walk amongst cedar, fern, maple and to hear the redwing blackbird sing on a sunset walk with my son. We are surrounded by so much beauty here. I send prayers everyday to those suffering, the lonely, orphans, elderly, sick, lost and I pray for their health and happiness. In these days, with the ability to get drowned in sorrow, I also invite you to hold both the grief and gratitude for what is alive around and in you.
For anyone struggling and not able to afford a ticket to the Winter Solstice Concerts and would like to join us, please reach out to me directly by replying to this email. We also have volunteer positions available for help with the shows, tickets, concession, assistance, clean up and prep.
I have always held my word to "no one turned away for lack of funds" and I would like to keep that door open into the future. This is one of the main reasons we are starting the ABCDE non profit, so we can support and serve more people in need, and make our offerings as accessible as possible into the future. If you would like to get involved, please let me know, this will be my first time running a non profit and I will need lots of help.
I am grateful to have the privilege to offer so many possibilities for connection here on this 3 acres of land in the sacred Quw'utsun territories. It is my great joy and commitment to offer cultural & creative connection through voice, nature and ceremony on the land here at Lila Music and Nature Centre, through our ongoing workshops, classes and events. I believe we have the ability to bring health and happiness, to right wrongs and to invite a deep sense of connection with ourselves, others and nature.
I would LOVE to hear from you. It makes my day when I receive a little one sentence email from a friend in some near or far away place.
Peace and blessings to you all, wherever you may be. Wishing you a beautiful winter in whichever way you wish to share and be.
In Service to life,
Cari

| AMAZING FARM HELPERS !
We have been fortunate to have this beautiful family from France, live with us for the last month. Remy has built a new fence and completed lots of carpentry tasks, Elsa and Annouk have worked magic, mulching the garden and playing with the cats. We are grateful to have friends who send us good travellers who enjoy to work hard on farms and to be in community. They are a joy. They want to go South to the warmer lands next, if anyone down there, needs help, let me know. They are also looking for a house sit over Christmas for 2 weeks or so.
