Hello from the Wellness Resource Center at Colorado College, 

We hope you are enjoying your summer! There is a lot to do as you prepare to move into your new home at CC. 

We want to take a moment to introduce ourselves and recap the items from the NSO Pre-Arrival Checklist for our office, as some may require contacting and/or visiting your health care provider and discussions with your family.  

The Wellness Resource Center (WRC, affectionately) is focused on student health and wellbeing on campus. We support CC students through workshops, outreach, social events, and individual or group consultations with professional and student staff. These programs and services cover a variety of health and well-being topics, including substance use harm reduction, sexual violence prevention and response, healthy sexuality, sleep hygiene, stress management, and belonging.

We spend our summers preparing for your arrival and receiving and reviewing your required health documentation. Here is a summary of what you will need to complete and turn in over the summer for the Wellness Resource Center: 

Proof of the following vaccinations is required:  

2. Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Questionnaire—Upload to applicant portal by Wednesday, July 15.  

Students should complete the first page of the TB Screening Questionnaire. If the answer to any question is “Yes,” or if the student is unsure how to answer any of the questions, further evaluation by a medical provider is required.

If a medical provider confirms that any of the questions on page one should be answered with “Yes,” the medical provider should complete the remainder of the form and evaluation prompts.

Please note that immunization records and TB screening forms must be manually reviewed by our staff; we may contact you if we receive incomplete or out-of-date information.  

3. AlcoholEDU and Sexual Assault Prevention modules—Complete by Wednesday, July 15.  

Look for an email from Vector with login credentials and instructions for accessing the courses. Please note that upon finishing the modules, it may take up to a week for these items to appear complete on the Pre-Arrival Checklist.  

Please allot three hours to complete these modules (the timings listed on Vector are not accurate). The modules save as you go so you can return later.  

4. Student Health Insurance Plan enrollment or waiver—Due Monday, Aug. 31. 

All students are required to have health insurance coverage while attending Colorado College. New students become eligible to either purchase or waive CC’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) once they are registered for classes.  

For new and transfer students, this is anticipated by Monday, Aug. 1. When you are eligible to enroll or waive coverage, you will receive an invitation from CC’s SHIP manager, Academic Health Plans, to your CC email address with instructions.
