FSI Faculty Member Attends Army ROTC Cadet Training |
Cait Porterfield, UCO FSI faculty member, was nominated by the Broncho Battalion as a COI (center of interest) and had the opportunity to attend cadet training this summer with the Army ROTC at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The training provided insight into what is required of cadets, how cadets prepare to become army officers and how we can support the ROTC as university partners. Porterfield participated in activities like rappelling down a 64-foot wall, navigating the Field Leadership Reaction Course (FLRC) obstacle course and using a firearm in the engagement skills trainer. The experience culminated in a skydive jump from 12,500 feet with the Army’s Golden Knights.
