Questions Corner: Your Questions Answered!
This week’s question is: How does the Career Center help with Interview Prep? What are some tips for preparing for an interview?
The Career Center can help with interview prep by talking about how to prepare for an interview and offering mock interview sessions. We also provide Big Interview, a great platform to learn interview best practices and how to craft answers to common questions.
Some interview preparation tips include:
- Watch the Big Interview Fast Track videos to understand interview fundamentals.
- Review our interview resources on our website. Resources include our interviewing guide, STARR method resources, and industry-specific interview guides.
- Prepare answers to key questions, such as the top ten questions highlighted by Big Interview in their interview question library.
- Research the organization you’re interviewing with to better understand who is interviewing you, how to prepare, and what questions you need to ask to understand the opportunity and the organization.
- Practice! Practice your answers with the Career Center through an appointment (scheduled through Handshake), practice with your friends and family, and practice with other people in your network, such as alumni.
