Tips for Selling Life Insurance During Summer

Many people have been putting off getting a policy, and now that summer is here, they are taking a break from their daily routine. As an advisor, you can take advantage of this lull and pitch life insurance policies to new and current clients. Here are a few tips that will help you make the most of this season.

  1. Tailor your message for summer:  During the summer season, people tend to be in a more relaxed mood. Use this to your advantage and tailor your messaging to make it more appealing. For instance, you can relate to clients by saying, "you can go on vacation without any worries, knowing that your family is protected."

  2. Schedule policy reviews with clients:  Conducting a policy review not allows you to review coverage, but it helps you develop a deep understanding of your client's life, finances and unique circumstances. You can use this information to tailor your communication and recommendations to their specific needs. Guiding clients through life's changes and helping them feel secure will increase their trust in you as their advisor and position you as a thought leader allowing you to stay ahead of the game.

  3. Social media engagement:  During the summer season, your clients spend more time outdoors and on social media. Make sure you're talking to them where they are by incorporating a robust social media strategy. For instance, you can create social media posts that talk about how a person can enjoy summer more with life insurance, using hashtags like #SummerOfLifeInsurance.  Check out the one marketing campaign below to jump start your efforts.
