In this beautiful month of October, Springwater Center offers opportunities to attend a silent retreat, listen to Springwater teachers dialogue together, attend an all day sitting and daily timed sittings. All this will happen after staff take a short break. See below for more information. 

This retreat is full for in person attendance; however one can be put on a wait list as cancellations do happen. Online attendance is unlimited and available. Contact the Center at info@springwatercenter.org to be placed on the in-person wait list. Register to attend online below.

Stew began doing Zen work in the early 70's, and has been involved with Springwater Center since its inception in 1982. He did administrative work on staff for many years. In the mid-90's the Center's founder, Toni Packer, invited Stew to assist with the teaching work and he has led retreats since then.

This Online Teacher Dialogue Session begins at 1:30p.m EDT. In this event most of the teachers will be present. This is an invitation for all members and friends to attend. Also we are asking you to send a question or topic that you would like the teachers to take on in the teacher dialogue. Please send your question or topic to info@springwatercenter.org.   An open group dialogue with everyone will conclude the online event at 4:30. We are looking forward to being together.

All Day Sittings are one of the most popular ways to participate in the work of Springwater Center. We come together for a day of sharing silence, sitting, listening, and meditative dialogue. The day begins at 8:30 am Eastern Time with silent sitting, includes a talk by Sandra Gonzalez, a group dialogue, and social time before concluding at 4pm. This provides a daylong retreat-like environment without the time or financial commitment of attending one of our retreats.

If you would like to attend this All Day Sitting, either in person or online, please go to the All-Day Sitting page and fill in one of the registration forms. A modest contribution is requested for attendance.

Some limited guest space is available if you would like to stay as a guest before or after the All-Day. Please contact the receptionist at info@springwatercenter.org for availability.

The Center closed at the end of the day on September 28 to allow staff to take a break. It will reopen October 8th. Any emails and phone calls received will be responded to when the Center reopens. A little-known feature of life at Springwater Center are the daily timed online sittings via Zoom. Morning sittings run from 7-7:55 am EDT, and evenings from 8-8:55 pm EDT.
