UCO Volleyball Wins Regional Championship
|
After winning two thrilling matches in five sets over the weekend, the No. 6-ranked UCO Volleyball team claimed their first NCAA Division II Central Regional championship. The Bronchos ended No. 2 St. Cloud State's 25-match winning streak and handed the Huskies (29-3) their only home loss of the season.
The tournament has made history for Central. It marks the first time the Bronchos have won multiple matches in the national tournament and broke the school record for single-season wins.
UCO improved to 33-2 and will move on to next week's Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The opponent and time will be announced in Centralities.
