Dear Colleagues,

The ending of this semester is bittersweet. Our, students, staff and faculty achieved enormous success this spring with exciting new research and impressive final projects, but our community is also coping with the tremendous loss of our friend and chair, Joseph Izatt.

In the last few weeks our community has come together to support and uplift one another, and I'm grateful for this opportunity to celebrate their success. Everyone in Duke BME is excellence personified, and I hope you enjoy reading about their work.
