"When I sat down to write with my buddies Caden Gillard and Dan Hutson in Nashville, we threw out the title 'Heaven On Horseback’," Haddock said. “It’s always been an age-old adage that every girl loves a cowboy. Truth be told, there’s a similar romanticism about a cowgirl. This is kind of our version of ‘Cowboy Take Me Away,’ from a guy’s perspective. A woman can tame even the wildest one. It paints a great picture.”
The neo-traditional tune stands exactly where it belongs. Firmly planted in today's contemporary country soundscape and rooted in his kinship to classic country and iconic sounds, Haddock draws openly from the language of ’90s country substantiated by uncomplicated instrumentation. The fiery guitar opener comes in hot, yet leaves lots of space for the Texan's laid-back vocals (lending subtle nuances to Tracy Lawrence and Zach Top) that crescendo into a high-powered chorus.
