All Saints’ Service of Remembrance
3:00 p.m. • Parlor Courtyard

A service of remembrance will be held outdoors in the Parlor Courtyard, providing the opportunity to remember all our loved ones in the great cloud of witnesses. Through liturgy, meditative music, scripture and prayer, the ringing of the bell, the lighting of candles, and the sharing of communion, we will remember and give thanks
for the lives of the saints.

• Names to be lifted up will be received ahead of the service,
2:45 – 3:00 p.m., or by sending names to Rev. Heidi Hudnut-Beumler,
615-481-0666, hhudnutbeumler@nashvillewpc.org.

• You are invited to bring a photo of your loved one(s) to this service to place on the
worship table, or to hold.

• If you need support, grief resources or referrals, please contact Heidi. In
addition, the grief resource library of the Bereavement Ministry Team is housed in her
office for sharing.

In case of rain, the service will be held in the Chapel. The Congregational Care
Bereavement Ministry Team is the sponsor of this service.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses...let us run with
perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of
our faith...." (Hebrews 12:1-2)
An Evening Hymn Festival
7:00 p.m. • Sanctuary

Westminster Choir, Brass Quintet, percussion, Sam Levine, clarinet,
David Angell, violin
Dale Nickell, organist
John Semingson, Director of Music Ministries

Plan now to join us for this participatory musical service featuring familiar hymns of the Christian faith. These are hymns we all love
to sing. Hymns like “For All the Saints,” “Hymn to Joy,” “Love Divine,” “All Creatures of our God & King,” “How Firm a Foundation,” and a very lively arrangement of “When the Saints Come Marching In." All our singing will be accompanied by our Easter brass quintet, percussion, clarinet, and violin. The choir will also sing a beautiful new anthem on the poem, “We Remember Them.” It will be an inspiring night of worship through singing along with poems, readings, and scripture offered by our clergy. Bring your singing voice!

All are welcome!

As we approach Sunday, November 3—Generosity Sunday—our hearts are full of gratitude for the countless blessings that surround us. This special day allows us to celebrate the gifts we receive from our faith community, from the relationships we share, and from the inspiring example of Jesus Christ.

Our congregation is blessed with an abundance of opportunities to learn, grow, and serve. We are supported by a remarkable staff who guide us with dedication through worship, music, service, care, joy, mission and outreach. We are nourished and enriched through small acts of kindness and remarkable acts of love. Our faith connection draws us closer together and our faith tradition continually inspires us to center our lives on glorifying God.
Our children are nurtured here and our youth grow and explore their faith through activities, small groups, mission trips, and service opportunities. Our relationships with one another provide a foundation of love and encouragement, reminding us that we are never alone in our journey. Isaiah tells us of a God who is “doing a new thing.” As we look forward to the future, may we embrace this call to renewal, allowing our gifts to reflect the boundless love of God. Through our giving, we become the hands and feet of Jesus, building a community that supports and uplifts, embodying love in action.
On this Generosity Sunday, let us commit to sustaining the programs, ministries, and missions that make our congregation a home of hope and compassion. May our contributions echo the blessings we have received, and may we give with hearts full of gratitude. Thank you for being part of this journey. We are blessed to walk alongside one another, inspired by faith and empowered by love.

With gratitude and hope,

Your Generosity Committee

First Grade Instructed Communion
Our first-grade children and their parents
had the First Grade Milestone last week.
They learned more about baptism and communion.
Parents got to hear what questions their children
have, and the children were nurtured in
their faith.

In Milestones, we learn together, we are not
rushed, and we help each other. Children learned that in baptism we celebrate
what we already know that we belong to God. In communion we are
reminded that it is God’s table, not ours, so ALL are welcome and reminded of
God’s abiding love.

This is a communion Sunday so if you see a child taking communion, encourage them and know their understanding is growing just as ours is.
