Debris Update. Brentwood Public Works and our contractor, Aftermath Disaster Recovery, continue to work almost non-stop, collecting Winter Storm Fern debris, and we expect to complete our first pass through all city streets by March 18.
Weather and other factors may cause this date to change. Once the first pass is complete, we will begin a second city-wide sweep for downed trees and limbs. Please visit our website or continue to follow our social media channels for announcements on that second pass through the city.
In early February, we expected to collect about 150,000 cubic yards of debris from within the city limits. A month has passed, and Brentwood has already picked up more than 235,000 cubic yards of trees and limbs, and we expect that number to reach as high as 350,000 in the remaining weeks of this recovery effort.
Thank you for your patience as we work to remove these piles from along our local roadways.

Debris Tracker. Brentwood residents can monitor the City’s “first pass” debris removal progress with this debris tracker dashboard: https://tinyurl.com/BrentwoodDebris.
Scroll-in to neighborhoods and see actual load ticket locations, which is where the truck topped-off its load and headed back to the disposal site. If you have questions, reach out to us at info@brentwoodtn.gov.

Spring Cleanups Cancelled. Brentwood Public Works is canceling the city’s annual Spring Cleanup days so the department can focus on its Winter Storm Fern restoration efforts.
The equipment, crews, and locations used for that Spring Cleanup program are being used for the larger winter storm recovery.
BUT, the Tennessee Environmental Council is partnering with Nissan to host a Recycling Roundup at Nissan Headquarters (1 Nissan Way, Franklin, TN) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. This event provides an opportunity to drop-off mattresses, tires, and other harder-to-recycle items. Click here for full event details

Bitcoin ATM Scam Alert. If someone asks you to withdraw cash from your bank account and deposit it into a Bitcoin ATM, you are likely being targeted by a scam. The Brentwood Police Department has seen a recent increase in scams involving Bitcoin ATMs.
A common tactic used by scammers is to call victims while pretending to be from the Sheriff’s Office or another law enforcement agency. These scammers can clone legitimate phone numbers, making it appear as though the call is coming from a real law enforcement office.
They may claim you have a warrant or legal issue that must be resolved immediately. The scammer will instruct you to withdraw cash from your bank and deposit it into a Bitcoin ATM. They often pressure victims by telling them not to speak with anyone and not to hang up the phone.
Remember:
Law enforcement will NEVER ask you to withdraw cash and deposit it into a Bitcoin ATM.
- If you receive a call like this:
- Hang up immediately.
Contact your local police department using a verified non-emergency number.
Brentwood Police Non-Emergency: 615-371-0160

The Brentwood Tree Board will host its popular Arbor Day celebration from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library.
The theme for this year is “Celebrating the Roots of Our Nation,” paying tribute to the country's 250th anniversary.
Like previous celebrations, this year's Arbor Day will have different environmental-related vendors, free tree seedlings, free food, and free ice cream.
