|
PikeRide, Colorado Springs’ nonprofit bike share system, is hiring a Bike Share Fleet Mechanic for the academic year through the Office of Sustainability. Work with a fleet of e-assist bikes and support sustainable transportation in our community. Apply on Handshake by Sunday, Sep. 7 at 11:59 p.m.

The Bonner Fellowship is a nationally recognized, cohort based, paid civic leadership program. Students get an opportunity to do deep and impactful work, reflect on their engagement experiences, and build a community with other students who want to make an impact in their communities. Bonners commit to 24 hours a block of paid community engagement, community building, and learning and reflection.
The CCE is recruiting first year students to the fellowship. Work study students prioritized. Applications are due on Sunday, Sep. 14 in Summit. The link to the application can be found in Handshake.

The deadline for withdrawing from all Blocks Away in Block 5 or Block 6 is Wednesday, Oct. 1. Withdrawals after that date are charged 25% of the program fee. Withdrawals must be made on Summit.

Join the Office of Sustainability for an eco-tourism adventure! This summer, travel to Peru’s Sacred Valley on a unique eco-tourism trip that blends sustainability with exploration. Experience breathtaking landscapes, ancient ruins, and lush cloud forests—culminating in a sunrise arrival at Machu Picchu. Interested in joining? Be sure to attend one of the required info sessions before applying. The application will open on Thursday, Sep. 25 and close on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Plant Library Program: “Check out” a houseplant and discover the mental and environmental benefits of indoor greenery. Come to our Block 1 pop-up event to learn more!
Campus Compost Program: Turn your food waste into soil. This opt-in program gives students living on or off campus the chance to compost. Starting Monday, Sep. 1, fill out a quick form and pick up your compost bucket at the Office of Sustainability. Both programs require a fully refundable deposit at the time of the items returned.

Share a photo, share an experience. Global Education & Field Study is interested in the stories you bring back from CC Study Away. Our student interns will regularly post stories and photos to Instagram to promote study away at CC and we would love to share your story. If you participated in a CC faculty-led study away program over the past year and you would like to share one of your experiences or just a photo you love, send it in, along with which program you were on, to the Global & Field Student Interns to be considered.

Support your fellow students during the Research and Internship Symposium as they share their summer research and internship experiences. It brings the CC community together for a series of short presentations, poster sessions, and discussions across a variety of academic disciplines. The experiences presented are funded by the Office of the Dean of the College's Faculty Student Collaborative Grant, departmental funds, internal grants, external research grants and the Career Center’s Student Internship Funding Program. Save the date: Friday, Sep. 26, 3-5:30 p.m. in the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center.
