Today, Jan. 30—1-30, get it?—is the perfect day to begin our yearlong celebration of UTA’s 130th anniversary. It’s a milestone year for UTA, one that will be filled with growth, progress, and festivities.
You can’t tell the story of Texas without UT Arlington; we are integral to the success of our state. So we’re going to spend the next year sharing stories that will make you proud to be a Maverick, helping you and our community learn about the role this institution has played in shaping our past and forging our future.
The first of our special events is tonight at College Park Center, when we honor 130 years of excellence with a night of hoops and history. I hope you will join me and show your Maverick pride as our UTA men’s basketball team takes on Southern Utah.
