The winter play production of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing was presented to the DCHS community on December 6-7th with a special matinee performance for more than 450 fourth grade students before opening night. The play is produced and performed by Acting+ students. Congratulations on an outstanding production!
 
Congratulations to the dance team on an outstanding performance at the ISDTA State Championships! The team finished second in Class XIII Pom, third in Class VII Jazz, and fifth in Class III Lyrical. In the state solo finals, Brooklyn Coen finished second, Claire Southard third, Brooklyn O’Conner fourth, Katelynn Larson eighth, and Lily Schweizer ninth. 

On Monday students, faculty and staff gathered for an all-school Mass in honor of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thank you to  Father Flood for leading us in this beautiful celebration.

Art Department Donations 
The Art Department is seeking calendars and magazines to be used as collage material for art projects - calendars with full-page images and landscapes are preferred. A wide range of magazines accepted, especially ones filled with images - no catalogs, please. Donations can be dropped off with Mrs. Sarah Selinger in room 900 or at the greeter's desk.

ACT Test Prep Seminar 
A ZAPS ACT Test Prep seminar will be offered at DCHS on March 3 & 4, 2025, from 3:15-5:45 pm or 6:00 -8:00 pm. The cost is $100. Register at www.doorwaytocollege.org.
ICAN FAFSA Sessions
ICAN advisors will walk through how to complete the FAFSA form step-by-step and answer questions along the way. From student dependency status to which parent is reported on the FAFSA, all the tricky questions about income and assets will be covered as well as how to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool and the next steps once the FAFSA form is submitted.

Northwestern has launched an exciting new program for motivated high school students. The online courses feature interactive tools and a flexible structure that allows students to take multiple courses to discover a variety of academic areas of interest.
