Orange County Government will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Dec. 24-26, to observe the winter holidays. Orange County Government will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for the New Year’s holiday.

On November 16, Orange County Sustainability, Orange County Public Library and Repair Cafe North Carolina hosted a free Repair Cafe at the Whitted Human Services Center. The Repair Cafe offered residents the opportunity to bring in damaged electronics, furniture, jewelry, or small appliances and work alongside volunteers to restore them.
