Henry Winkler ’67, LHD ’78 Tells Graduates to Find Their Gift and Give it to the World 

The Emmy-winning actor, producer, director, and author returned to his alma mater to address the graduating Class of 2026 at the College’s 146th Commencement on May 9.

Three Emerson alumni earned Tony Award nominations for producing Best Musical contenders: Marylee Fairbanks ’88 for Schmigadoon!, Bonnie Comley, MA ’94 for The Lost Boys, and Nathan Gehan ’99 for Titaníque.

Cristina da Luz ’24, writer, producer, and founder of 32mm Studios, is bringing her debut short film Maresia to life. Shot in Cape Verde alongside fellow Emerson alumni, the film is now in post-production and preparing for festival runs.

Ari Conte ’15, a Tony-nominated theater producer and creative strategist, recently returned to campus to lead an Emerson Master Class on arts entrepreneurship and career development. As a mentor, she encouraged students to embrace the power of the “in-person hello” while navigating the industry.

Aidan Leary ’22 and CR Thompson ’22 turned to classmates, mentors, and creative collaborators when making their debut feature, Monkeys Magic Merry Go Round. Their project highlights the power of the Emerson network in action.

The Best of Emerson: 45 Years of The EVVYs

The 45th Annual EVVY Awards, one of Emerson’s most beloved traditions, took place on May 8.
