The Coast Is Here: Coastal Alternative WJSE/Atlantic City, NJ flipped to Country as WKOE "Coast Country 106.3" this morning (5/20). The move returns the call letters and brand to the frequency and the market. WKOE previously existed on 106.7 (2008-2010), 106.5 (1998-2002) and 106.3 (1992-98). The station is utilizing talent from Local Radio Networks. Townsquare WPUR was the only Country station to register in the market's Fall Nielsen survey, coming in fourth with a 4.8 share. Chronicle: Longtime Eli Young Band crew member Elias "Chief" Gonzales passed away May 19 following a battle with Follicular Lymphatic cancer. He was 44. The band shared on social media, "We lost one of our own, and it hurts. The world will never be the same again without our friend. We miss you Chief!" No word on services. |

ICYMI: Performances from last night's (5/19) American Idol included Wynonna and Emmy Russell's "Coal Miner's Daughter," Hootie & The Blowfish and Will Moseley's medley, Cody Johnson and Triston Harper's "Til You Can't" and Luke Bryan and Mia Matthews' "Love You, Miss You, Mean It."
The finale also included the three finalists visiting their hometowns, with a portion of each visit including a surprise reveal of funding for three music education programs totalling $20,000 via the CMA Foundation and ABC.
