Orange County administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. All county offices will reopen with their normal hours of operation on Friday, June 20. 

Federal and state funds are a key part of a county's budget. This dashboard contains a list of federal and state funding awards and grants through the County's fiscal year (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025). 

On Friday, June 6, a Wear Orange event was held at Peace & Justice Plaza in Chapel Hill. Wear Orange is a campaign that advocates for a future free from gun violence. During the event, elected officials read a multi-jurisdictional proclamation encouraging common sense gun legislation, which aims to reduce violent deaths.
One of the best ways to protect your loved ones from gun-related injuries is through the safe storage of firearms. The Orange Firearm Safety Team has compiled educational materials in both English and Spanish.

The Community Climate Action Grant Program is dedicated to accelerating our Climate Action Plan strategies and encouraging community climate change mitigation actions in Orange County. All public and nonprofit entities are eligible to apply as well as small businesses with a maximum annual gross revenue of $3 million. We are looking for great project ideas that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make a positive impact in our community. Look at the background information below to learn more.  

A FREE information session about the trip will be held on June 24 at 1 pm at the Seymour Center, 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill, to answer questions and assist with registration.
