Counseling Services Available
If you are going through a hard time, free counseling services are available through multiple resources. Students seeking confidential individual counseling may call SASSI at 901.448.5056 or the after-hours phone for mental health emergencies at 901.690.CARE (2773). Employees and their eligible dependents can get up to five free confidential counseling services through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by calling Optum at 855.437.3486.
Apply for the Inclusive Engagement Program
Applications for OIED’s Inclusive Engagement Program are now open. The program runs from September 1–30 and aims to increase engagement with aspects of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. All UTHSC employees, students, and trainees can apply until August 11.
Volunteers Needed at Immunization Events
If you are trained to administer shots, your assistance is needed at one of three immunization events for children heading back to school. The events are scheduled for July 29, August 5, and September 30. Volunteers must attend a training session on July 19 or 26.
Managing Money and Mental Health
All UTHSC employees are invited to attend the July session in the Employee Engagement Series on Wednesday, July 26, from 10:00 – 11:00 am via Zoom. The session will discuss how mental health and money are connected and explore habits to manage your mental health and improve financial wellness.
Addressing the Region's Health Disparities
You are invited to a Conversation on Health Disparities about Regional One’s OneHealth Initiative aimed at addressing health disparities in the Mid-South. The session is set for Monday, July 17, from 12:00 – 1:30 pm in GEB A102. Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP.
