Two alumni enter Military Science Hall of Honor

During the 45th Military Science Hall of Honor ceremony, the Cadet Corps Alumni Council inducted two new members to UTA’s Military Science Hall of Honor. Honoring the discipline, leadership, and achievements gained through participation or support of the cadets in UTA’s Army ROTC, the Hall of Honor now pays tribute to 123 former cadets.

18th Annual Spirit Day 2025

Spirit Day 

UTA staff are invited to celebrate the 18th Annual Spirit Day with the Staff Advisory Council Wednesday, March 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center. Free lunch from McAlisterʼs Deli will be provided while supplies last. The first 300 attendees will receive a prize at the front door.

Annual performance evaluations for staff employees are available in UTShare. Employee self-evaluations are due tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11, and manager evaluations are due Friday, April 11.

Latinas in Business 

Held in celebration of Women’s History Month and UTA’s Business Week, the Latinas in Business lunch and panel discussion will spotlight businesswomen in the community while highlighting the impact education has made on their journeys. The Building Emergency Safety Teams (BEST) program conducted the MAV Ready: First Aid Awareness Training on Thursday, March 6. BEST members learned about two-hands-only CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed, and Narcan. Enhanced MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire

This spring, enhanced versions of MavPlanner, MavScheduler, and MavInspire will be available at UTA. The enhanced systems will see updated user interfaces and functionality. Leveraging improved technology will put actionable data for engagement and early alerts in the hands of faculty and staff. The tools will also allow staff to effectively assist students with planning a clear path to graduation.

UTA’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) offers free website hosting for faculty with web publishing support. Benefits include UTA-branded subdomain, various hosting options (WordPress, custom code), backend support (TLS certificates, domains), content assistance, and accessible templates. OIT can also provide podcast, SharePoint, and Google Workspace hosting and support. Learn more.
