UTA highlighted in COACHE impact report
|
UTA was recognized in the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) 20th Anniversary Impact Report, distinguishing itself as one of only five institutions highlighted among 300 participants.
Why it matters: The University and its faculty received high marks for partnership and communication. This collaboration was fostered by the implementation of the first faculty satisfaction survey at UTA in more than a decade.
Going deeper: UTA’s process stood out nationally because faculty drove the survey’s momentum and worked with leadership to address concerns and create solutions. A campuswide COACHE scorecard now tracks progress, aligning findings with UTA’s strategic planning efforts.

After careful consideration, the outdoor pool will remain permanently closed.
Why it matters: The facility has faced significant mechanical and maintenance challenges in recent years, and the resources required to restore it to operational standards are better allocated elsewhere.
Going deeper: As the spring semester begins, Campus Recreation will explore alternative options for recreational outdoor pool use at our campus apartment communities. We will also begin planning a new use for the outdoor pool space that will benefit the recreation and fitness needs of the UTA community.
More information will be shared as plans progress. For further information, please contact Campus Recreation.

Why it matters: Mavericks from every corner of campus gathered with peers, families, and loved ones. All across Connections Café, they feasted and reflected on what they’re grateful for as the fall semester nears its end.
Going deeper: The tradition began in 2017 as an annual potluck organized by the Office of International Education to introduce international and study-abroad students to the American Thanksgiving experience. The first dinner hosted about a dozen people. In recent years, the dinner has grown exponentially, serving more than 700 people.

Why it matters: Your donations generated economic opportunities for families and communities worldwide through 4Opportunity and 4Relief programs, helping families access essentials and education. They will support nearly a month of food, housing, and education for families in countries like Haiti and Honduras.
By the numbers: Mavericks came together to donate 73 pairs of shoes, which diverted 91.25 pounds from landfills, extending the lifespan of these items and reducing their carbon emissions.
