The Staff Council Professional Development Conference and Staff Appreciation Lunch will take place May 20.

UMKC staff volunteers needed for Great Kansas City Cleanup on April 19
The Staff Council Outreach Committee invites staff volunteers to join the Great Kansas City Cleanup. UMKC volunteers will clean Brush Creek Trail from Martin Luther King Jr. Square Park to the William Volker Memorial Fountain on April 19 at 10 a.m. Families are welcome; participants must be 8 or older. Space is limited to 15 volunteers. Register by April 16.
The Staff Council Outreach Committee will host its annual Junior Achievement volunteer day May 9 from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. UMKC volunteers will staff JA BizTown storefronts, assisting students under the guidance of Junior Achievement staff. Position-specific training will occur the morning of the event; no prior training is required. Storefronts will be assigned the day of the event, and no industry-specific knowledge is required. Register by April 18.
Staff Awards Ceremony: The 2025 Staff Awards ceremony will be held March 18 at 3 p.m. in the Student Union, Room 401. All are invited to attend. Learn more.
