Chair Yoga on Tuesday, February 25th at 10:30am - Chair Yoga increases flexibility, strength, and body awareness. All ages and abilities are welcome to join yoga teacher Monika Orr for this exercise class.

Power for Parkinson's on Tuesday, February 25th at 1pm - Learn movements and exercises designed for people with Parkinson's disease with Power for Parkinson's. 

Guided Meditation on Friday, February 28th at 10:30am - Cultivate gratitude, compassion, and connection with a guided meditation hosted by Sameh Neseim.

All are invited to join Jeremy Self of Cedarwood Financial Partners to learn how to plan a fulfilling retirement. Jeremy, founding partner of Cedarwood Financial Partners, helps his clients replace their financial fears with confidence and peace of mind through an agreed-upon strategy.

We all tell stories for the same reason we communicate: to connect, express feelings, persuade, entertain, and/or inform. Join Stephanie Threinen for this intergenerational communications workshop, Cool, Comms, Collected, to discuss the Art of Storytelling. Participants will play interactive games and collaborate to develop story ideas.

We are thrilled to highlight Friends of the Library Bookstore volunteer Jennifer Micetich! In the bookstore, Jennifer organizes shelves and displays, assists shoppers, and sorts through donations. Read on to learn more about her!

First of all, how do you pronounce your last name? Just say "my stitch." It's Croatian!

Where are you from? I was born in Wisconsin and I've lived many places in between there and here. I moved to Lakeway six years ago from Georgia.

Could you tell us about your family? My husband and I have two grown daughters. They are actually the reason we moved here! And I don't have any pets, but I am a dog lover. 

What are your hobbies and interests? I am a game player! I love to play mah jongg, bridge, and canasta, and I enjoy solving jigsaw puzzles.

Are you retired? What did you do before retiring? Yes, I am. I had a career in the insurance industry before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

What's your favorite thing about volunteering? I love everything about this library; I love the aesthetics and the people who volunteer and work here. Everyone is so kind. To me, the library is a beautiful refuge. 

What do you like to read? Juicy psychological thrillers and historical novels! Some of my favorite authors are Kate Quinn, Kristin Hannah, and Michael Connelly.
